Doodle Book: Post 6

Blammo!

Hiya, bloggers and blogettes! How's things?

I've gotten a few questions about my doodling process. It's pretty simple: I'm drawing in a Handbook Journal sketchbook with a Uniball Roller pen (micro 0.5mm) and Kuretake Water Brush, which I have instead filled with Rapidograph Universal Black India ink.

Since the doodles are just for fun, I'm not fussing over much. The tools are simple and I don't do an under drawing in pencil (who's got time for that?). It leads to a lot of mistakes and accidents, but it also forces me to commit to the lines and shapes I make.

    Oh man! I love the last one with the robot blasting someone, the girl and window with blinds, and the happy girl with the windblown dress. And, of course, the one I got :)

    So many great sketches it's hard to choose my favs. I will say that the robot suit with the tractor shovel and the merman destroying the submarine are probably standouts in my mind.

    Also, I just got another kuretake water brush as a gift and I'm totally going to fill it with india ink now...

    For some reason the bear on August 12th, or at least his pose, reminds me of Hedgehog in the Fog. And now that I've said/typed the words "Hedgehog in the Fog," I will away to the YouTubes to watch it again...and again.

    one question: from where do you recieve your inspirations for the doodles? i love draving as well but i sit in front of my white paper and don't know what to draw so often :( do you have any tips?
