Bike Advocacy

Photobucket

When left to my own devices, I think of things like this. If I've ever glossed over during a conversation with you, THIS may have been the very thing that was crossing my mind.

Twice as Nice

I know posting this twice doesn't really count as a real post, but the quality on VIMEO is so much nicer. So, for your viewing pleasure...

"Mashed" in Its Entirety

I know it's been a long time since I've posted. That's for a good reason--our family is very busy right now, expecting our second child and trying our best to orchestrate a move to California as painlessly as possible. Really sorry I haven't posted anything in a long while--even more sorry that I haven't had much time to draw for fun while taking care of all this grown-up stuff.

I promised some time ago that I would get around to posting my cartoon movie, "Mashed," and today is that day. Without further ado, I present to you the fruits of my BYU education.

I hope you love it. If you do, spread the word, because I would love for many people to be able to enjoy it. Thanks so much!!

Also of note: somebody else produced a student animated short this year called "Mashed." From what I understand, it was a student from RIT. Sorry, other kid, for stealing the title to your short film. Luckily the twain shall never be confused, because while yours is a sophisticated animated short, no doubt, mine is a stupid cartoon movie.

How I spent my Summer Vacation

Yeah, I stayed up all night making this--what have you done with your time?

Impasse at the Zoo from Anthony Holden on Vimeo.

Currently, my class at BYU is in the throes of production of an animated short with the working title of Izzy (after the main character). As the final product will be computer animated, I have made it my goal to contribute as much material as possible that I know has absolutely no chance of making it into the final cut of the film. So far, I'm succeeding.
This weeks offering to the gods, as seen above.
Hope it's fun for you too!

Roger

A little animation project from class. We were supplied with dialogue and character sheets to choose from. Since I have a similar physical constitution as Roger from 101 Dalmatians (okay I'm like his brown twin), it was an easy choice.
There are still a handful of things that I'd change about this animation, but here it stands for now.
Hope the sound isn't loud and scary like previous animation posts.

Some am'nimationings

So it's been several weeks since I last posted. Being a double major and holding more than one job during school has been harder than I thought. I have been sketching and I haven't forgotten that I'm supposed to put up some pictures from my trip to Zion, so those will be up soon. Also, I am a guest artist at the Pleasant Grove Heritage Festival this year--I'll be doing portraits and, with any luck, a bit of sketchbooking.
At any rate, here is a sample animation of a small project I'm working on right now. This is just a run cycle, but there will be more debauchery and excitement to follow.
